Frankfurt to Mumbai

From Germany, met in the small hours.

The non-stop flights from Frankfurt and Munich are a working day long, and they tend to reach Mumbai around midnight or after it — the hour when a city you do not know is at its least kind to a tired traveller. The house is built for that hour: a name you have been sent, a board inside arrivals, a cool and quiet car, and one figure written before you leave Germany.

I

Which airport

Flights from Frankfurt and Munich land at Terminal 2 of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International (BOM), where every international flight into Santacruz arrives. Through Dubai, Doha or Istanbul, the last leg lands there too. Send the flight number and the house reads the ticket.

II

The flight, watched

The house follows the flight from Frankfurt or Munich; a late departure or a missed connection re-times the car without a word from you. Two full hours after an international landing and ninety minutes after a domestic one, at no charge, counted from the moment the aircraft reaches the gate.

III

Met inside arrivals

Your sarathi stands past customs with a board in your name. When the flight shows landed, he writes to you with a photograph of exactly where he stands; the car is cooled and a short walk away.

IV

Write from your own number

WhatsApp +91 81202 86868 from your German number. A person answers in writing between 7 AM and 11 PM India time — 2:30 AM to 6:30 PM in Frankfurt in winter, 3:30 AM to 7:30 PM in summer — and the road is watched at every hour.

Precise, and written down

Guests from Germany tend to ask the right questions before they book, so the house answers them in writing: the class of car, the name of the sarathi the evening before, what is inside the figure, and what happens if the flight is late. Every guest wears a seat belt, front and back, and the car never carries more people than its registration allows.

For a meeting the next morning

Most German guests are in Mumbai for work — BKC, Powai, Lower Parel, the MIDC belts. After a midnight landing, the car takes you to the hotel and the same house can collect you at eight for the first meeting. The airport to BKC and the business account set out how.

Questions guests ask

How long is the flight from Frankfurt to Mumbai?
About eight and a half to nine hours non-stop; Munich is a little shorter. Mumbai is four and a half hours ahead of Germany in winter and three and a half in summer.
My flight from Frankfurt lands after midnight. Will someone be there?
Yes. Your sarathi is inside arrivals before the aircraft reaches the gate, at any hour, and you have his name, his photograph and the car's number the evening before.
How long will the car wait at Mumbai airport?
Two full hours after an international landing and ninety minutes after a domestic one, at no charge, counted from the moment the aircraft reaches the gate — three hours and two for Command, Limousine and every Marque car — with the flight watched from take-off.
Can I pay with a card issued abroad?
Yes. The figure is written in rupees and settled through Razorpay, which accepts Visa, Mastercard and American Express cards issued abroad; your bank shows it in your own currency. Your sarathi never asks for money, a toll or a tip.
Do you need my passport?
No. A name, a number and a flight are enough. The house never asks for a document or a deposit.
