A car that will not start at one in the morning. A road under water. A cancelled flight and a family on the kerb. Write to the house: it looks at every licensed way it can reach — by road, by water, by air — and tells you plainly what is possible.
A car that will not start, a road under water, a flight missed or cancelled, a storm that has closed the way home. Write or call the house with where you are; a person answers and looks at every way out that it can reach.
Another car — a higher one in the monsoon; a different road; a room for the night close to you; help with the next flight; and, when the weather and the rules allow, a boat or a helicopter from a licensed operator.
What is possible, how long it will take, and the figure — before anything moves. On the phone if there is no time to write; in writing as soon as there is. Nothing is promised that the house cannot see.
A medical emergency comes first. Call 112 or 108 for an ambulance before anything else. Then write to the house, and it will help with everything around it — the family, the car, the hospital's door.
The house arranges; licensed operators carry. It does not fly aircraft or sail boats itself, and it will not send anything that is not licensed for the work. Not every way exists at every hour, and in the monsoon most of the water and air close; when that is so, the house says so at once, rather than keep you waiting on a hope. Guests already travelling with the house are answered at any hour. For anyone else, the house answers between 7 AM and 11 PM, and outside those hours whenever it can — never promised.
Your own car has broken down? The house can send a car for you, and look after the car itself the next morning — for car owners.
