Some gifts are things; the better ones are an hour of not having to think. A mother landing at Terminal 2 at midnight who is met by name and never looks for a taxi. A friend’s first evening back in the city, with a car that waits. A couple’s anniversary drive down Marine Drive at dusk, dressed with flowers if you say so. You reserve it, you settle the written figure, and the house tells them — in your words, or in its own — that the car is theirs and nothing is owed.
Reserve as you would for yourself and choose This journey is for someone else; name them, give their number, and write the line you would like them to receive. The house sends it with the sarathi’s name and the car the evening before, and nothing about a figure, ever.
A message from the house in your words; a sarathi who knows their name and their door; a car cooled before they reach it; the wait at the airport already inside what you settled. They are asked for nothing — not a rating, not a tip, not a review. If they try to pay, the sarathi says it is done.
An airport journey in either direction; an evening by the hour; a day with a car and sarathi; a drive to Lonavala or Alibaug; a dressed car for a birthday or an anniversary; a Marque car for someone who should arrive in one. Anything the house does for a guest, it does for a guest you name.
Inside every written figure: the car, your sarathi, fuel, every toll, parking at both ends and GST. Nothing is added on the day, and no meter runs.
If you do not know when they will use it, write to the house with their name and number and settle the class of journey you have in mind; the house holds it as credit in their name, tells them in your words, and writes the figure when they choose the day. Credit given this way is theirs for twelve months and is never exchanged for cash — the terms say the rest.
Give a journeyChoose "This journey is for someone else", name them, write your line. The house does the rest.
